Services for Students with Disabilities
Support Equal Access for All Pacific Students

University of the Pacific’s Services for Students with Disabilities office (SSD) ensures students on the Stockton, Sacramento and San Francisco campuses have equal access to all academic and university programs. Our office works with and advocates for students with disabilities who may need classroom accommodations, alternate housing options, on-campus transportation or other resources due to long-term disabilities, short-term medical conditions, injuries or recent surgeries. Through events, programming, lounge spaces and our Testing Center, SSD helps to build a safe and supportive community for all students on Pacific’s campuses.

“Testing in SSD means I can do my best on exams. I made honor roll last semester!” - Pacific Student

Every gift in support of SSD helps remove disability-related barriers for students. Thanks to the generosity of supporters last year, SSD was able to purchase a full-size scientific skeleton for its Testing Center that students are now able to reference during undergraduate and graduate exams – leveling the playing field for students whose accommodations recommend they take their biology exams in SSD as opposed to the larger classroom. Please join us during Pacific Gives 2025 in providing equal educational opportunities to all Pacific students.

“Having the skeleton during my exam was game changing! It helped me visualize the muscles attached to specific bones and better understand how they contribute to movements.” - Pacific Student
