Shaping the Future of Law
McGeorge provides a distinctive approach to legal education, rooted in a commitment to academic excellence, intellectual curiosity, and experiential learning. We provide an exceptional education to our students that will enable them to succeed, with class sizes and "real world" experiences right for our market.
We offer a curriculum responsive to the rapid and structural changes to law practice and are focused on providing an education that meets the needs of today's students and tomorrow's lawyers
We invite you to invest in one of the following areas during Pacific Gives 2018 to ensure McGeorge remains a leader in innovative law education. You may also choose to give directly to any department or program.
The McGeorge Fund
- The Fund allows Dean Schwartz the flexibility to leverage every philanthropic dollar for maximum benefit by allocating these funds to areas where it’s most needed, when it’s most valuable, and how it’s most effective.
The McGeorge Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship
- The Scholarship provides financial support to law students who have demonstrated academic achievement, have financial need and are active in student activities, community activities and/or employment activities outside of law school.
- Gifts to this scholarship will be matched dollar for dollar thanks to the Powell Match Program.
Noël M. Ferris Endowed Scholarship
- Noël M. Ferris Endowed Scholarship was established to honor Ms. Ferris, a leading trial lawyer who credits her success to what she learned in the trial advocacy program at McGeorge School of Law. Through that program, she became a regional champion and competed at the national level. This became the framework for her remarkable career as a civil trial lawyer. Ms. Ferris was a single mother when she began the J.D. program at McGeorge after receiving a B.A. in English from Stanford University. She was a role model for single, head-of-household law students with the goal of being trial lawyers. The endowed scholarship will provide annual assistance to such a law student.
- Gifts to this scholarship will be matched dollar for dollar thanks to the Powell Match Program.
Jeffrey Poile Endowed Memorial Scholarship
- The Scholarship was established in 2002 by a faculty member of the McGeorge School of Law to commemorate a remarkable man whose life ended far too soon. The fund provides support to students who are committed to using their legal education to extend and protect the civil rights of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people.
