Study Abroad

University of the Pacific offers more than 300 different study abroad programs in over 50 countries. These range from short-term faculty-led programs to a semester or two abroad. Pacific believes that all students can benefit from experiencing other cultures while pursuing their academic goals.

Study abroad is a high-impact practice that supports student success and retention. Employers value global experience and awareness, and students are more competitive applicants for post-graduate awards such as Fulbright Scholarships.

The Study Abroad Fund assists students with the many components of a successful international experience, including passports and visas, travel and living expenses, meals, books, supplies, and more.

"For me, studying abroad was more than just completing my credits in another country. It added to my resume but was also a personal growth experience. I learned how many cultures, beliefs and values intertwine with each other. This ultimately led me to value where I came from more than I could have ever imagined." — Estefania, Class of 2024
