The Walt Harris Excellence in Athletics Endowed Scholarship
Named for a Pacific alumnus and former Tiger football coach, the Walt Harris Excellence in Athletics Endowed Scholarship will support student-athletes in any sport who demonstrate exemplary leadership qualities on and off the field. The scholarship will help Pacific attract top-caliber athletes and build world-class programs, while allowing students to enjoy the same academic, athletic and professional opportunities Walt so appreciated.
"The university gave me a place to go to college for free. I was able to get my bachelor's degree, my secondary teaching credential, and my master's degree. Then I got my first coaching job as a graduate assistant, and my first full-time coaching job was at Pacific. I later had the privilege of becoming head coach, which ranks as one of the top honors of my life!
