The Dr. Judith M. Chambers Endowed Scholarship for CIP Leadership
Judy Chambers (1936-2023) was Pacific's inaugural vice president for student life. She was a passionate advocate for student success centered on leadership development. Countless Pacificans and Stockton community members considered her a pioneer of the profession—and more importantly, knew her as a mentor, teacher, role model and devoted friend.
Among the many causes Judy championed at Pacific was the Community Involvement Program (CIP, which serves low-income, first-generation students from Stockton. In 2017 she established the Dr. Judith M. Chambers Endowed Scholarship, to support CIP Scholars with unmet financial needs. She believed wholeheartedly in empowering students with an aptitude to be change makers.
"Giving back to the University that has meant so much to me, and knowing that i can positively impact students with leadership capacity and commitment to community service, is the best investment possible." — Judy Chambers, 2017
