Digging Out Dominance in the WCC

In 2016, the Tigers put together an outstanding season in the sand. Senior Lexi Elman and junior Andie Shelton earned All-West Coast Conference First Team honors while Emily Baptista has been named to the All-Freshman Team, the conference announced this afternoon.

For the second-straight year, the pair of Elman and Shelton teamed up at the top spot for all 14 matches this season. The duo posted six wins including a victory against #16 California and a win over Portland in the WCC Championships to help advance the team to the next round.

This serves as Elman's second-straight First Team All-WCC honors for beach volleyball and adds to her assortment of honors on the year as she also earned WCC Honorable Mention for the indoor season.

This is Shelton's second WCC beach accolades as she was named to the WCC Honorable Team last season.

Baptista put up six wins in her first year playing collegiate beach volleyball with wins over Santa Clara, Stanford, USF, and Portland.  Her win against Portland also helped the Tigers advance in the WCC tournament.

Help the Tigers build on their success during the 2018 season with a gift to the Beach Volleyball Team.
