The Future of Pacific Tennis is Now

The Pacific women's tennis team has put six student-athletes on the ITA All-Academic team this week, while the team was also named an ITA All-Academic Team for the 2016-17 season. 

 

Yuki Asami, Christiana Ferrari, Jessica Kaye, Anneroos Nederstigt, Sabrina Rodriguez and Maayan Sela all receive this plaudit for stellar work in the classroom as well as on the court. This is the second academic award this year for Asami, Nederstigt, Rodriguez and Sela after the group earned West Coast Conference All-Academic honors following this past season. 

 

The Tigers will look to build on the success of last year's campaign while enjoying the newly opened Roy and Jean Sanders Tennis Clubhouse. The facility is a 4,262-square-foot addition to the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center includes a plethora of state-of-the-art amenities including men's and women's team rooms showcasing 12 locker spaces, an athletic training room, and an office space.

Overall, the facility is a $4.9 million project that was spearheaded by a $2 million donation by former Tiger and professional tennis player Eve Zimmerman, with additional donations from Doug Eberhardt and the Bank of Stockton and many alumni and community members.
