Head Coach Ryan Garko Brings Big League Experience
The Pacific Tigers are looking to build off of last season with the addition of new Head Coach and former Major Leaguer Ryan Garko.
"It is an honor and privilege to serve as a head coach. It has always been my dream to have the opportunity to build a culture and lead a program as a head coach and impact the lives of young men," said Ryan Garko. "At the end of the day, whether coaching in minor league baseball or in the college ranks, we are developers of human beings masquerading as coaches. Everything that was applicable as a minor league coach that was important to me is transferable to the collegiate setting and I look forward to taking much of what I learned in Los Angeles and implementing it at Pacific."
On the diamond, it was an active summer for Pacific Baseball players, who represented the Tigers across a number of Summer Collegiate Baseball Leagues. Pacific had 21 players competing in the California Collegiate League (CCL), Northwoods League (NWL), Sunset League, Great West League (GWL), New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL), SoCal Collegiate Baseball League (SCCBL), Pacific Coast Collegiate League (PCCL), Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League and Kansas Collegiate Baseball League.
With summer league experience under the belts and the guidance of Coach Garko, we're thrilled about the possibilities this upcoming season will hold for the Tigers!
