The Community Involvement Program (CIP) is a comprehensive need-based scholarship and retention program for first-generation college students from the Stockton community who have demonstrated the potential for sustainable leadership, community awareness and involvement.
CIP was established in 1969 by a group of students, community members, faculty and staff who wanted to provide educational opportunities to the local community and diversify the University of the Pacific campus. More than 1,400 students have graduated from the program since its inception.
You can help more CIP students realize their dreams by giving to one of the following funds as part of Pacific Gives 2022. Every gift, no matter the size, counts and truly makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our students. Thank you!
CIP Emergency Fund
There are many economic hardships for Community Involvement Program students, but now more than ever, they need help covering the basics, often not covered by the CIP Scholarship. Students have been further impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic resulting in loss of employment, changes in family circumstances or reduced household income. Students require assistance with the cost of transportation, technology, and essentials like food, clothing and shoes.
Benjamin and Janie Reddish Endowed Scholarship
