Physical Therapy Visionary Endowment

The Doctor of Physical Therapy Class of 2016 felt so strongly about the importance of attending the American Physical Therapy Association - Combined Sections Meeting (CSM) that we initiated an ENDOWMENT! We're calling it the Physical Therapy Visionary Endowment!

Your donation will support future physical therapy students to attend professional conferences and help with travel expenses. Attending professional conferences and meetings will provide them with research and innovative ideas outside of the classroom. The students will be able to listen to lectures, and have access to tools and tricks of the trade. It also demonstrates the reality of working in different industries of physical therapy.   

With your gift, you can help us reach our goal. We have five years to raise $50,000. When we reach that amount it will qualify for the 1:1 Powell Match. That means our endowment will be funded at $100,000 and it will provide annual funding in perpetuity at a rate currently set at 4% of the fund's value or approximately $4,000. As our fund grows with time, this will provide an ever increasing amount to help support our future DPT students travel to valuable conferences such as the CSM. This matching opportunity wouldn't be possible without the generous estate gift from Robert and Jeannette Powell.
