Pacific Motorsports Formula SAE Race Car 2025

Support a Pacific student-run engineering club!

Pacific Motorsports Formula SAE Team - Racing into Competition!

Thank you for visiting our website! Pacific Motorsports is a student-run engineering club that designs and builds an open-wheeled formula-style race car to compete in the Formula SAE competition. Our goal is to strengthen the engineering skills of students by exposing them to real-life engineering problems not presented in the classroom. Students involved with the club gain highly valued design and manufacturing experience, using CAD software and our on-campus machine shop. Students outside of engineering learn how the engineering industry operates and can gain skills in marketing and business by raising funds and managing the finances that the engineers use to manufacture the race car. Pacific Motorsports is open to all who are interested in learning about engineering design, engineering marketing, and running an engineering business!

Our club was founded in 2020 with the creation of the first prototype vehicle used by the team to pave the way for future competition vehicles. Pacific Motorsports attended the 2024 Formula SAE Michigan competition for the second time ever in May 2024! With a small team of five hands-on students, we made it to competition and passed the rigorous technical inspection and got to race in the 22 km endurance race!

Our goal is to compete in the 2025 Formula SAE competition with a completely new vehicle aimed at increasing our intentionality and producing a well-built, clean FSAE race car that will deliver good feedback at the Design Presentation at this year’s competition!
