OLLI at Pacific was founded in 2006. Originally started as the Pacific Experience in 1997 and with the endowment from the Osher Foundation we were given the support to really grow our membership and provide lifelong learning as part of a group of 124 OLLI’s across the country. We are now facing major changes and challenges to our beloved program with the onset and continuation of the COVID19 pandemic.
This fall semester we are taking our programming fully online with distance learning. This brings about formidable changes for our programming and operations. It is our goal to keep providing learning opportunities for our members. Please take a moment and consider what OLLI at Pacific gives to you. Knowledge. A forum for discussion. Friends. A sense of belonging. OLLI at Pacific is a member-driven institute, and it runs on 'member fuel.' We now serve 600+ members, and our needs continue to expand. Giving is part of what makes your OLLI yours. Your monetary gifts to OLLI enable our member institute to continue to transform your lives and the lives of future lifelong learners.
Everyone likes to be part of something bigger than themselves. In order for us to reach our goal of $15,000, we need all hands on deck. We’re inviting you to join with fellow OLLI members and invest in our faculty, staff and members. Together, we build a stronger future for OLLI at Pacific. Your gift will help with:
Increasing outreach and influence to our local and extended community
Funding scholarships for new and returning members
Enhancing technology to accommodate distance learning
Improving our variety of classes with quality instructors
Every gift counts; every dollar you give makes a difference here at OLLI. Join us and help OLLI at Pacific reach our goal of $15,000 FOR THE LOVE OF LEARNING.
Choose a giving level
A gift of $50 could purchase a webcam for our instructors to adequately provide the best distance-learning experience possible from their new class environment.
A gift of $100 could cover the cost of an OLLI at Pacific membership, provided in the form of a scholarship. Especially to those members who may have faced a financial hardship during the COVID19 pandemic.
