The global pandemic has altered many facets of life for Pacific students, causing feelings of stress, fear and anxiety. Through emergency funds, CAPS implemented a new telehealth program that uses videoconferencing technology to deliver mental health services to students from a distance. CAPS also facilitates a weekly series of online group sessions called Tiger Talks for students on all three campuses, including special sessions designed for graduating seniors and LGBTQ+ students.

This emergency fund is also being used to help students who need support getting their medication or who are seeking mental health services outside of California.

CAPS appointments have increased by 32% compared to last year's numbers for January 15 - March 31. In the last two weeks, 88 students have received online counseling.
