The mission of BLSA (Black Law Students Association) shall be to further the academic and social welfare of African American students enrolled at the McGeorge School of Law; to increase the enrollment and retention of African American students at McGeorge School of Law; to promote professionalism, academic excellence, and improve community involvement among our members.
BLSA reached a record-high number of 13 members this previous academic year and is looking to keep growing. This academic year, BLSA expects to greatly increase the number of times we study together, build camaraderie, engage with the Sacramento community, and bring Black minds to campus.
Black History Month during this academic year will celebrate Black Intellectuals right in McGeorge's backyard. We are looking to bring to campus members of the California Legislative Black Caucus, Professors of Ethnic Studies from California State University, Sacramento, Hall of Fame Baseball Club Manager Dusty Baker, and more.
To this end, we are looking for your support to help us succeed by making a gift today.
Your gift will be used to support this year’s BLSA students in the following ways:
With your generosity, we can accomplish all of our goals.
Join us today in enhancing the academic and social well-being of African American students enrolled at McGeorge School of Law.
